Peach Peterson, age 78, of Cambridge, formerly of Isanti, passed away February 12, 2018 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 15th at Strike Life Tributes – ISANTI. Friends may gather 1 hour prior to the service.
Helen “Peach” Cecelia Peterson (Campbell) was born on September 7th, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Tom and Irene (Malusky) Campbell. She had two sisters, Betty and Dorothy, and one brother, Billy Campbell. She was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from North Minneapolis High School in 1957. She participated on the bowling team in high school and after high school. On June 21, 1958 Peach married Phillip Darrell Peterson and made their home in Isanti. Peach worked as an assistant at Dr. Ryan’s Dental Office in downtown Isanti before opening her own full time day care at their home until she retired when her youngest grandchild was school aged. Peach cared for many children over the years and they always became a part of her family. Peach enjoyed camping trips in the RV and decorating with all things lace, flowers, and lights. She was a serious Vikings fan and enjoyed watching her Soap Operas, Wheel of Fortune, and walking on the Isanti boardwalk with Darrell and their dog Scooter.
Peach passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer disease on February 12, 2018 at Grace Point Crossing at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 5 days. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband P. Darrell Peterson and two infant sons, Timothy and Jonathan.
Peach is survived by two daughters, Rocky (Rich) Polzin of Isanti, Chele (Kelly) Schlickenmayer of Cambridge, two sons, Rick Peterson of Mounds View, Chris (Laurie) Peterson of Coon Rapids; 8 grandchildren, Ryan (Steph), Ronell (Nate), Jake (Cindy), Matthew, Kaytie, Tasha, Bailey and Casey; 8 great-grandchildren, Cooper, Avery, Campbell, Molly, Owen, Carter, Franko and Luke; and by many relatives and great friends.
