Daryl G. Hedin, age 66, of Cambridge passed away March 13, 2018 at Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Friday, MARCH 23rd at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. Burial will be held in the spring at Fridsborg Cemetery.
Daryl Gene Hedin was born September 3, 1951 in Braham, Minnesota to Merton and Beverly (Lindell) Hedin. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1969. In his younger years he loved fast cars and deer hunting. Daryl worked as a machinist at Erickson Power Lift on St Anthony Blvd. in N. Minneapolis until he was in an auto accident in March of 1973 resulting in his life long health difficulties. He enjoyed putting puzzles together, playing cribbage, going to casinos and visiting with family and friends.
Daryl died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Rosewood Senior Living in Cambridge at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Beverly Hedin.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Randy) Cornell of Isanti; nieces, Jennifer (Rod) Muehlbauer, Tracy (Corey) Clapp, Angela (Jesse) Rundquist, and Kelly (Don) Benson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex Cornell, Emily Rundquist, Brent Clapp, Ethan Rundquist, Ellie Rundquist, Hailey Clapp, Greta Rundquist, Katie Benson, Tony Benson, and Alisha Benson; and by many, many other relatives and friends.
Daryl and I were distant cousins. He was a year behind me in school. I remember him as a really nice guy and I really liked him. His parents were great too. Sorry to hear of his passing.
