Joseph Knerr, age 61, of Isanti died June 17, 2018 at his home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 25th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. There will also be a visitation from 2 – 6 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, June 24th.

Joseph Allen Knerr was born November 20, 1956 in Minneapolis to Darrell and Rosalie (Erickson) Knerr. He was raised in the Twin Cities and graduated from Columbia Heights High School. He worked at Schweigert Meat in Minneapolis where he met Jeanyne Jaros. He and Jeanyne married on May 14, 1977 and they made their home in Blaine. They moved to Isanti 24 years ago. Joe was employed by Hennepin County for over 30 years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, Three wheeling and fishing especially on Mille Lacs and Lake Winnibigosh. He also enjoyed cars and working on them. Joe was a mechanic, a carpenter and he could repair anything. He enjoyed cooking and baking and was the chef at home. Cory and Darby family dogs were very special to him.
Joseph died unexpectedly at his home on June 17, 2018 at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell. He is survived by his wife, Jeanyne; 2 sons, Jeriod and Darrell; 1 grandson, Charlie Schultz; mother, Rosalie Knerr; 1 brother, Jeffery (Dawn) Knerr; and by many other relatives and friends.
