Bruce W. Halvorson, age 68, of Cambridge, died July 11, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Halvorson Home on Sunday, July 15 from 4 to 9 P.M.
Bruce Wayne Halvorson was born September 5, 1949 in Benson, Minnesota to Delvin and Lorraine (Skansberg) Halvorson. He was raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He then attended Minneapolis Technical College. Bruce married Jody Cook on August 26, 1978. They made their home in South Minneapolis until retiring in 2006 and then moved to Cambridge where he has since made his home. His interests and hobbies included barbequing, hunting, fishing and automotive repair.
Bruce died July 11, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 68. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jody on December 4, 2010; and his brother, Steve. Bruce is survived by 2 sons, Mark Halverson of Salem, Oregon, Dylan (Katie) Halvorson of Cambridge; brother, Jerry (Connie) Halvorson of Bloomington; and by other relatives and friends.
