Russell Clemensen, Sr., age 70, of Isanti passed away unexpectedly Thursday July 26, 2018 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 4th at River Valley Christian Church in Grandy.
Russ was born July 24th 1948 in Tracy, MN to Arnold Clemensen and Virginia Aarthun. He grew up with his Mother in many towns across Minnesota before settling down in the Cambridge area. Russ graduated from Cambridge High in 1967 and Nov 22nd of that year joined the Marine Corps. He went to Vietnam and came home 4 years later to marry his wife, Vicki Arneson, they had two sons Arnold and Russell, Jr.
Russ dedicated his life to loving his wife, raising his boys and taking care of his family and friends. After coming home from the Marines he joined the Army Reserve and went to vocational school for auto body. He later began working at the Cambridge State Hospital where he would retire from with a back injury. His passions included everything to do with the outdoors along with hunting and fishing with his boys. He was passionate about being the most loving husband and best father he could be. He loved his dogs and his friends as well.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, in-laws, Bob and Tiny Arneson; sister-in-law, Lea Ann; many of his good friends and his beloved son, Russ, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Clemensen; his son, Arnold Clemensen of Bethel; grandchildren, Alanna, Isaiah, Dylan and Ayanna; his dogs, Skylar, Princess, Sparky and Jenny; along with his in-laws, Bobby, Karen Arneson of Cloquet, Steve Arneson of Chetek, WI, Carol Arneson of Barron and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
His wisdom, humor and love will be missed deeply by all who know and love him.

Vicki and Arnie our prayers are with you. Remember when we lived in Pine Village in Cambridge. We had fun barbecueing and playing cards.Tara is 41 and liz 42. Paul is 38. You guys built your house and we moved. Every time Russ would be shopping at Reichels Gary and i always would run into him.He always love to shop and talk to every one he knew. He will be missed by all. He was very loving and caring. We hope to see you Sat. It is sad we have not seen each other so long and now under the circumstances. We suppose to celebrate life.
