Bonnie Larson, age 78, of Cambridge died October 12, 2018 at home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, OCTOBER 27th at Springvale Baptist Church with a time for visiting starting one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Dalbo Baptist Cemetery.
Bonnie Larson was born April 23, 1940 to Raymond and Edith (Schultz) Steckelberg in Ogilvie, Minnesota. She was raised in Mora and graduated from Mora High School in 1958. After high school she worked for IDS, and later in life, for Control Data and then Tower Systems. On September 23, 1961 Bonnie married Wendell Larson and they made their home in the Dalbo area. They raised four children, Korbi, Kyle, Kortney and Darci. In 1981 they purchased a home in Cambridge out in the country but close to town. She loved the location.
Wendell was a licensed plumber and she said that she never had leaky faucets. They thought after retirement they would to some traveling, but that did not happen because of serious back problems. Probably the happiest time in her life was from 1966 – 1976 when Wendell was on a pit crew for the Barry Kettering, #57, Sprint Car racing team. They raced on dirt tracks in the upper Midwest. Barry was killed in a racing accident in 1976. Bonnie enjoyed the racing family.
In 2003, they bought a 1955 Chevrolet, they dated in a car just like it. Bonnie enjoyed riding in that car until she could not take it anymore. Her later years were difficult for her, she had very serious medical problems. On October 12, 2018 her body gave up. Now she is in a better place with no pain, and with God.
Bonnie died October 12, 2018 at home at the age of 78 years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Norman Luttrell; brother-in-law, John; and her sister, Corrine.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell; four children, Korbi Luttrell, Kyle (Kelly), Kortney (John “Paul”) and Darci (Rodney); brother, Warren Steckelberg; sister, Sylvia; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wendell, Korbi, Kyle, Kortney, Darci and Families,
I am so sorry to hear of the your loss, it seems of late a lot of the “old Dalbo” residents have relocated to Heaven, I know Bonnie is in good company up there.
May your fondest memories of her remain in your minds while your hearts heal and await the grand reunion you’ll all share someday.
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.
Hugs ~ Beth
