Carol Overby, age 69, of Hoyt Lakes died at her sons home in Cambridge on November 21, 2018. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 1st at Strike Life Tributes in CAMBRIDGE. Visitation will begin 1 hour before the service.
Carol Jean Overby was born November 15, 1949 in Duluth to Ernest and Delinda (Morgan) Riley. Carol was raised in Two Harbors and graduated from Two Harbors High School, Class of 1967. She married Michael Overby in 1977 and they made their home in the Isanti/Cambridge area. In 2000 they moved to Hoyt Lakes. Carol was employed as a nurses aide for 30 years. She loved the family activities and spending time with her grandchildren. Carol also was an avid Vikings fan, enjoyed antiques, collecting nick- knacks, working in her flower gardens and enjoying her dogs.
Carol died at her son’s home in Cambridge on November 21, 2019 at the age of 69 years. She is survived by her husband, Michael of Hoyt Lakes; 5 children, Lisa Rhoden of Cambridge, Scott (Alicia) Overby of Cambridge, Ernie Overby and fiance Megan Lillion of Cambridge, Loren (Amy) Overby of Golden Valley, Lonny Overby of Crystal; 12 grandchildren; 6 siblings, Janet (Dennis) Wagner of Two Harbors, Bonnie Anderson of Two Harbors, Bob (Sue) Riley of Two Harbors, Kelly Riley of Mora, Ann Marie (Mike) Prestidge of Two Harbors, Michael Riley of Two Harbors; and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wendy Wilkinson.

Mike, So sorry to hear of Carol’s passing. I think the last time we talked was at our 45th class reunion at the golf course. It’s been a rough road I’m sure and some rough days ahead. I wish you peace and hope the memories will console you a little in the coming days.

A very sweet and fond memory of big sister carol was taking carol to see Fleetwood Mac a few years ago carol and I and Lisa and Dane. It was nice to see her having a great time and had great food. It made her day and mine as well. Miss you big Sister
