Roger Bergman, age 91, of Mora, formerly of Cambridge/Isanti, died November 21, 2018 at his grand-nephews home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 26th at Strike Life Tributes in CAMBRIDGE. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service on Monday. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
Roger Keith Bergman was born November 25, 1926 in Isanti Township to Harold and Ida (Chilstrom) Bergman, Sr. He was raised on the family farm near Isanti and graduated from Cambridge High School. He later graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Agriculture and Business. Roger farmed for at least 70 years. In later years he helped at his nephew, Lance Larson’s business, Larson Implement in Harris. Roger was a strong supporter of the Salvation Army and was a Christmas Bell Ringer for several years even until four years ago, he also volunteered helping with natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina, the floods in North Dakota and he supported their school back pack program. Roger always put others before himself and he will be deeply missed by many.
Roger died November 21, 2018, at the age of 90 years, at his grand-nephews home in Mora. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margie (Kermit) Larson, Marilyn (Ken) Olson; and brother, Harold Bergman, Jr.
He is survived by 2 siblings, Anita Colbaugh of Cambridge, Dr. Ronald (Carol) Bergman of Cambridge; and he was “Grandpa” to his many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. Roger was well known and loved by many in the community.
