Henry R. Daniels, Jr., age 92, of Stanchfield died January 25th at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, FEBRUARY 5th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Cambridge American Legion.
Henry Richard Daniels, Jr., was born November 5, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Henry Sr. and Salomae (Tomaszewski) Daniels. He was raised in NE Minneapolis and graduated from DeLasalle High School. After graduating from high school he learned to work on cars at his father’s gas station in Perham, Minnesota. On July 27, 1948 he entered the Army serving in Germany until he was honorably discharged on June 2, 1952. On July 18, 1959 Henry was united in marriage to Marcella Ciepielinski at Holy Cross Catholic Church. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary. Henry worked as a casting finisher/expeditor for FMC Corporation for 35 ½ years. After retirement, Henry and Marcella and moved to Park Rapids. Henry enjoyed country western and polka music. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed camping in the Park Rapids area.
Henry passed away January 25, 2019 at home at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 20 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella, and brother, James. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Swanson (Kenny Milz); grandson, Daniel (Trisha) Swanson; sister-in-law, Diane Daniels; other relatives and friends.
Henry’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Allina Health Hospice caregivers as well as the doctors and nurses of the specialty care unit at Cambridge Medical Center who showed great care and compassion.
