Les A. Doble, age 79, of Cambridge died February 20, 2019 at The GracePointe Crossing Gables. A celebration of Les’ life will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, March 3rd at the Isanti Community Center. Inurnment will be at Strike Cemetery in the spring.
Les was born May 19, 1939 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Arthur and Ellen (Olson) Doble. He grew up in the Cambridge area. In 1956 he enlisted in the US Navy. When he was in the service in California he met Arleen Farmer and on September 26, 1959 they were married. They were blessed with two children, Art and Debra. Les was honorably discharged in 1959 and then he served another term in the Navy from 1964 – 1966. Les worked in RV sales in Minnesota and Arizona for over 35 years. They lived several places and were in Cambridge for the last 10 years. Les loved to sing, fish, hunt and go camping.
Les is survived by his loving wife, Arleen; son, Art (Tracy) Doble; daughter, Debra Doble; granddaughters, Jessica, Brittany and Samantha; brothers, Doug (Rita) Doble, Darwin (Jackie) Doble, Stan (Karen) Doble; sisters, Maggie LaBeau, Mona LaBeau, Rosemary Durham, Edi (Hank) Eggert, Nancy (Hugh) Peabody, and Karyn (Dick) Olson; sisters-in-law, Teresa Doble, and Bonnie Doble; and by many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard and Gerald; sisters, Sandy Olson and Lorraine Olson; brothers-in-law, Clancy LaBeau, Kenneth LaBeau, Morris Olson, and Lowell Durham.
