Marlyn “Marv” Evenson, age 72, of Isanti died March 2, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 6th at Strike Life Tributes in CAMBRIDGE. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 7th at Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Marlyn “Marv” John Evenson was born September 11, 1946 in Willmar, Minnesota to Joseph and Martha (Okland) Evenson. Marv grew up and attended school in Willmar, Minnesota. On December 3, 1976 he was married to Colleen Comeau in Gaylord, Minnesota. They moved to Isanti County where they raised their family.
Marv worked for 30 years for Canadian Pacific Rail Road and also worked several other jobs. He was a hardworking, loving husband, father and grandpa. He loved watching his grandkids sporting events, tractor pulls, demo derbies and other activities.
Marv passed away March 2, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a short battle with cancer at age 72. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Kuehn. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Colleen; four children, Marilyn (Nick) Gehrt, Joseph Evenson, Cindy Evenson, and Jesse Evenson; three grandchildren, Austin Dahlheimer, Evan Meier, and Alex Gehrt; three siblings, Judy Johnson, Lauren Evenson (Peggy), and Ray (Karen) Evenson; brother-in-law, Bruce Kuehn; and by many other relatives and friends.
