Kathryn Haas, age 76, of Isanti died April 15, 2019 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 18th at our Isanti location. A memorial visitation will begin 1 hour prior to the service.
Kathryn (Kitty) Ellen Haas, age 76, of Isanti passed away peacefully at her home on April 15, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Kathryn (Kitty) Ellen Haas was born August 10, 1942 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Michael and Myrtle (Weberg) Kiteck. She was raised in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Harding High School. Kathryn married Kenneth Haas on April 17, 1965 and they made their home in St. Paul. During this time Kathryn worked for the State of Minnesota. In 1974 Ken and Kitty moved to Cambridge. They made their home in a log cabin on a lake on a wooded dead end road. This is where the couple raised their two children and had what Kathryn remembered as the best time of her life. She cherished her simple life; gardening, baking bread, and watching her kids grow. In 1992 they moved to Isanti where they started their own business and became self-employed until her retirement. In recent years, Grandma Kitty has been a loving grandmother and caregiver to her grandchildren. She looked forward to summer days, bbq’s, and trips to Lake Superior with her kids and grandkids. Kathryn lived her life with a quiet generosity. She treated people with kindness and without judgment. Those that knew her know that she gave of herself to anyone in need without ever the notion of getting anything in return. The world was a better place with her in it.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on March 23, 2004. She is survived by her two children, David Haas of Cambridge, Jennifer (Dylan) Jenniges of Isanti; grandchildren, Mesa, Clara, Ruby and David; two brothers, Michael Kiteck and Larry Kiteck both of St. Paul; brother-in-law Don (Vicky) Haas of Isanti; and by many other in-laws, relatives and friends.

Dear David and Jen … We can’t tell you how very sorry we are to hear that your mom passed away this morning, so suddenly. We know that it’s really tough to lose your parents. It is our prayer for you that time will heal some of the pain you are feeling. In the meantime, please know that we pray that you will receive comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and that she is with your Dad. Please feel free to reach out to us if there is anything we can do for you. All our love, Uncle Mike and Aunt Marlene

David and Jen, words can not express as to how you are feeling. Numb is all that comes to mind. I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mom yesterday morning. I glad you reach out and let us know. Now Our Heavenly Father has his hands full when your parents are together. Parents may not be on earth but they are still here with us. My thoughts and prayers are with both and your families during this time. If you need anything I am here for both of you and families.

Dave and Jen.
Keith and I were so saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing. Our prayers for peace and comfort go out for both of you and your family. It is so hard to lose a loved one and so quickly.
It is so hard for you to imagine life with out her. Time will heal and your memories will help. You were blessed to have such a wonderful lady for your Mom.
She’ll show up in a smile of one of your kids or a phrase she always used. May be a butterfly on a flower or a certain way the table is set. Whatever you’ll notice and you will smile and remember her.
God bless, Keith and Debbie

I am so sorry to hear about my cousin, Kathryn Kiteck Haas. We were both named after our Grandmother and it is such a special connection. Even though we only met a few times, I feel so blessed to have that opportunity and the same for meeting both Jen and David. I wish I could be there on Thursday, I will be there in thought, spirit, and prayer. I hope we will have the chance to meet another time as part of the “Kiteck” family.
Blessings and Love,
Mary Kathryn Kiteck Whitlock

Our thoughts and prayers to the family. What a wonderful tribute to your mother. I only met her a few times, too, but I have wonderful memories of our few visits with her parents, and our sharing of Christmas cards until their passing.
Love to all,
