Robert W. Cheney, age 75, of Bethel passed away June 1, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 7th at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in East Bethel. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
Robert (Bob) Waverly Cheney was born January 11, 1944 to Robert and Mary Cheney. He married Susan Kenow on April 26, 1968 and had two sons, Robert and Michael. Bob enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He worked at Determan Welding as a service coordinator for 23 years before he retired. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer of the Bethel Fire Department for many years.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom; sisters, Jackie and Julie; his nephew, Brian; sister-in-law, Sandy and brother-in-law, Jim. He is survived by wife, Susan; son, Robert and girlfriend, Teressa; son, Michael and wife, Angie; one sister, Jessie Raustadt and husband, Dale; former daughter-in-law, Lynn Herlofsky and five grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Megan, Emma and Lauren.
We would like to give our deepest condolences to the family of one of our dearest neighbors and friend. We will miss Bob’s humor and kindness very much.
