Jean C. Fisher, age 85, of Isanti died July 7, 2019 at Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 11th at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church and also on Wednesday, July 10th, from 5 – 8 P.M. at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti.
Jean Charlotte Fisher was born on December 11, 1933 to Merle and Gennevieve Robertson of Minneapolis. She attended St. Cyril Catholic School. In 1953 she married the love of her life, John Richard Fisher at St. Anthony Church in Fridley. They then purchased their first home, started their first business (a moving company) and opened antique store, Grandma’s Attic. In 1973, the family moved to Isanti and opened Fisher’s Auto Parts.
Jean was a strong woman. She loved and treasured her life as a mother and homemaker. She took pride in her role as a grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Jean installed strong values in her children along with words of encouragement, wisdom and comfort.
She was a master cook, sharing her love of food with family. Her signature dish was her spaghetti. She enjoyed weekly outings to the casino, bridge, card games with friends, broadway shows, camping in their motor home, bingo, involvement with 4H, gardening and traveling.
Jean’s final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. She passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Camilia Rose Care Center in Coon Rapids at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 26 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Annette Hiller and brother, Merle Robertson.
Jean is survived by 5 children Mary Jo Sanderson, John Fisher, Jr. (Eva), Cindy Hanson, Sherri (Scott) Ziebarth and Tony Fisher; one sister, Carrie Quarnstrom; 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Her laugh, beautiful smile, wit and undying love will be remembered.
