Sandi Bowker, age 66, of Cambridge passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 30th. There will be a private burial service, followed by a celebration of life later in the fall.
Sandra “Sandi” Bowker, Age 66, passed away peacefully at her home in Cambridge on Friday, August 30th. Sandi was born May 21st 1953 in Minneapolis to Robert and Charlotte (Otis) Armstrong and was the oldest of eight siblings. She graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1971. She has four wonderful children: Kristi, Archie, Joey, and Casey. After three marriages, she found her now long-time boyfriend and life partner Myron Elsberry, with whom she has shared her life for over 15 years. Sandi was well known in her community of Cambridge where she has lived since 1993. She had many very close friends that she met while working as a cook and bartender at the Cambridge Bar and Grill for over 20 years! She enjoyed going out and playing bingo with her friends and family, as well as staying home and watching shows such as I Love Lucy, various true-crime programs, and a collection of other classic TV shows and movies. Sandi cared deeply for her friends and family including her four children, seven grandchildren, seven brothers and sisters, and her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers Robert (Cheryl) of Brunswick Ohio, Jim of Cambridge, Bill of Cambridge, Sisters Mary (Gordy) of Isanti, and Shirley (Bill) of Cambridge, as well as her children Kristi (Derek) Boisclair of Maple Grove, Archie Erickson of Isanti, Joey (Eden Leone) Erickson of Maple Grove, Casey (Liz) Erickson of Mora, grandchildren Madison, Nora, Hayden, Gabe, Vinny, Cami, and Patrick, and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Robert and Charlotte Armstrong, her sister Kathleen Armstrong, and brother Steven Armstrong. There will be a private burial service, followed by a celebration of life later in the fall.

I have many good memories of Sandy at Bar and Grill, and also over at the legion playing bingo. She’ll be greatly missed. Sending my deepest sympathy to her family, also sending Myron a special hug.
