Charlene Kleven, age 80, of St. Francis died November 16, 2019 at Park River Estates Care Center in Coon Rapids. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 22nd at First Baptist Church in St. Francis with visitation one hour prior at the church. Visitation also from 5 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21st at Strike Life Tributes – ISANTI.
Charlene Ann Kleven was born August 8, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Charles and Nina (Whitney) Blanton. Her family moved to Everett, Washington where she was raised and graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1957. Charlene married Earl Kleven on April 9, 1958 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. After Earl’s military service they moved to Coon Rapids, Minnesota. They lived in several places including California and North Carolina. In 1998 they moved to St. Francis where they have since made their home. She enjoyed her family and the family activities and her hobbies and interests included collecting old movies (she had hundreds), collecting antiques and glassware. She also enjoyed music and playing the piano and guitar.
Charlene passed away on November 16, 2019 at Park River Estates Care Center in Coon Rapids at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 8 days. She is survived by her husband, Earl; son, Joel (Amy) Kleven; 3 grandchildren, Mikayla (Cody) Lindahl, Joshua Kleven, Daniel Kleven; 1 great-grandson, Leroy Lindahl; and many other relatives and friends.

I do remember when I was young how Charlene would sing and play the guitar. We will miss her and send our deepest sympathy to Earl, Joel, Amy and the rest of their family.
