I had met Mr. Tews in the summer of 1977 while on a small job Arcon was doing at a home in Mora on W. Forest Ave. I remember Herman stopped by to see how things were going and he didn’t hesitate to jump right into the trenches with us, even while in his nice business attire. He certainly was a man to be admired, much like my dad who worked for Arcon for decades (Leo Kaas) and I remember dad speaking VERY highly of him. Was great to meet Herman, even if it was just for a few minutes that one summer day so long ago. Those days at Arcon are mostly a blurr now, but I recall Herman because he made such a positive impression on me. Is a shame that great men like him are not found very often anymore.
