Thomas E. Olin, age 68, of Coon Rapids and formerly of Isanti, died unexpectedly July 29, 2020 at home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, August 4th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the service Tuesday. Interment will be in Round Lake Cemetery in McGregor.
Thomas Emil Olin was born April 21, 1952 in Braham, Minnesota to Delma and Clara (Lange) Olin. He attended West High School in South Minneapolis. Tom worked as a heavy equipment operator for Minneapolis Parks and Recreation. He was a hard worker and even helped with projects after retiring. Tom made his home in Isanti until moving to Coon Rapids a few years ago.
Tom was a handyman who was willing to help anyone with anything. He was giving, generous and kind. Tom also had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with family and often was able to get family gatherings to happen. Tom and Joni enjoyed spending time dancing, traveling and sharing a laugh together.
Thomas passed away unexpectedly July 29, 2020 at home at age 68. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother-in-law, Dan Finnegan. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Matt; sisters, Penny (David) Peterson, Marilyn Finnegan; brothers, Richard (Noreen) Olin, Greg (Jean) Olin; his soul mate, Joni Granneman; and by other relatives and friends.

Tom was such a great friend of mine. We shared many laughs . He loved to dance and have as much fun as he can. He will be missed greatly. Joni made his heart sing with happiness.
