Shirley Braastad, age 81 of Cedar, died September 19, 2020 at her home. A public visitation will be held at Strike Life Tributes – Isanti on Tuesday, September 29th from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. followed by a private Memorial Service. Memorials suggested to Alzheimer’s Association.
Shirley Ann Braastad was born January 5, 1939 in Goodman, Missouri, to Roy and Margaret (Schuler) Lynn. She was raised in Neosho, Missouri and graduate from high school there. Shirley married Ronald Braastad on March 8, 1958 and they have made their home in Anoka and Oak Grove since their marriage. Ron and Shirley owned and operated several business including, Soderville Café, Soderville Hardware, Lynn Convenience Store and Central Towing. Shirley wore many hats in their business operations. She was a member of Cedar United Methodist Church.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Ronald; 4 sons, Dan (Kim), Randy (Deanna), David (Tara), Jason; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Mariah, Kyle, Patrick; 1 great-grandson, Cameron; sister, Ina Tucker; and by many other relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Dema and Dodie.
