Paul T. Amundson, age 84, of Cambridge and formerly of Fridley, died December 22, 2020 at Walker Methodist Levande in Cambridge. Private services will be held.
Paul Thorvald Amundson was born December 17, 1936 in Frederic, Wisconsin to William and Mamie (Dinger) Amundson. He graduated from Frederic High School and enlisted in the Navy. He served 4 years in the Navy and then attended Globe College of Business. On September 7, 1963 Paul married Sharon Olson at Messiah Lutheran Church in Duluth. They raised their family in Fridley where they were active members at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Paul enjoyed singing and being in the church choir. Paul worked as a computer analyst at the University of Minnesota. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Paul passed away December 22, 2020 at home in Cambridge at the age of 84 years and 5 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William Amundson; sister-in-law, Pauline Amundson; and brother-in-law, Lyle Gray.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; son, Paul (Kathy) Amundson, Daughter, Julie (Brad) Harmon; sister, Jean Gray; 5 grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends.

Paul grew up across the alley from my first husband , Wendell. We were all classmates together in the Frederic schools. Later, in Fridley, he lived only a few blocks from my son Bethel. Paul was really special. He was fun. He had a big smile & a cool unique laugh. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. May God surround Paul’s family with His love and comfort them with good memories.
