Dear Pat, Dennis, Tara, and Family:
We are so sorry to learn about Dave’s passing. He was such a great man. We remember his extraordinary caring for your family; Dave and your family have always been so kind to us. Many memories! Here are three of so many memories over the years:
1. Dave gave our twin sons, Jeremy and Jeffrey, nicknames > “Slam” and “Jam”! To this day, we often call them by these names! Very special.
2. We remember Dave always wearing his Bluejacket jacket with the stitching of “Proud Dad” on the back; very impressive and sending a special message > a dedicated mom and dad, supporting all of Denny’s and Tara’s educational and athletic activities.
3. During Denny’s eighth grade year, we were about to play a neighboring school in football. The opposing coaches were refusing to play us because Denny had football shoes with rubberized cleats. Dave calmly walked over to our conversation, took Denny’s shoes and then cut off all the cleats. Dave quietly smiled and then walked back to the sideline. We played the game (and won!).
Dave will always be remembered.
Blessings,
Bob, Lois, Mark, Kelly, Jeremy, Jeffrey Salo

So sorry for your loss. Rick and I would have never met if Dave hadn’t hired me all those years ago at Tool Grinding. I will always remember our first date at the Tool Grinding Christmas party. We will always have fond memories of Dave.
