Russell D. Proue, age 43, of Andover passed away May 26, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held June 9th, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at East Bethel Senior Center, 2241 221st Ave NE, Cedar, MN 55011.
Russ Proue, age 43, died at the home of twin brother Ryan in East Bethel, MN on Wednesday, May 26th 2021. He is survived by parents David & Peggy, sister Michelle, twin brother Ryan, Grandmother Mary, niece Leimomi, nephew Ryker and by many other relatives and friends. Russ graduated from Osseo High School in 1995. After high school, he was employed in roofing and landscaping for many years. At the time of his passing, he was a beloved employee of Aggressive Hydraulics in Cedar, MN. He filled his life with hunting, fishing, and wheeling with friends and family. In the fall, he looked forward to hunting grouse, ducks, and geese followed by deer hunting in November. Winters were filled with ice fishing and snowmobiling. His passion for ice fishing led him to the purchase of a large ice castle that he was very excited about using. His home away from home was the family cabin on Big Sandy Lake. Russ was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer in November of 2020 after closing out the annual deer hunting season. After his diagnosis, cousins Cal and Sara, friend Justin, and many other special friends were there for him to help him continue to live his life to the fullest for the next 6 months. Russ deeply touched so many lives with his sense of humor and playful banter. He will be remembered daily by an immeasurable amount of people, and we thank him for all the memories.
