Bonnie Lou Carlin, age 57, of Isanti, died July 9, 2021. A memorial gathering will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, July 12 at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti.
Bonnie Lou Carlin was born November 8, 1963 in Minneapolis to Gerald and Linda (Jehoich) Spychala. In 1967 the family moved to Arlington, Texas where she was raised and graduated from Bowie High School, Class of 1982. Bonnie married James Carlin on June 8, 1991 in Anoka, Minnesota and they have made their home in Isanti. She was employed at Minco in Fridley for 30 years. Bonnie enjoyed going to the casino and she was affectionately known as “Auntie Pumpkin” to her nieces and nephews.
Bonnie enjoyed gardening and going on trips with friends and family, and looked forward to Fall leaf peeping every year. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved making on cookies at Christmas with her Nieces and Nephews. She looked forward to adventures with her Nieces and Nephews like visiting the local corn mazes and town festivals.
Bonnie enjoyed camping and fishing, but really disliked touching the bait. She enjoyed traveling and their annual Thanksgiving visits family in Kentucky.
Bonnie was always the center of attention at all gatherings and rightfully so.
Bonnie died on July 9, 2021 at her home in Isanti. She is survived by her husband, Jim; mother and step-father, Lyn and Larry Welsh; 3 siblings, Sharon (Jackie) Chambers, Kimberly (James) Baker, Billy-Jo (Cheri) Spychala; and by many other relatives and friends.

Jim- You and Bonnie have been in my life for 33 years. So long that I cannot imagine you not being in it. You were at my wedding. I was at your snd Bonnies reception. You were at Shelbys baby shower. We lived a block apart. Every time I had an issue, Bonnie would say “Jim will help you”. And you always did. I miss my punkin who I worked side by side with for four years. I am so glad you had each other got 30 years. Now, you have your Minco family to be there for you. I love you both dearly. RIP my dear friend. I miss you so very much.
