I will always treasure the memories of the many, many years of Memorial Day cemetery visits. Marie would call and ask me if the Girl Scouts were coming again. We would say of course!! Myself and my girls (and Boy Scout son) helped for about 10 years. With the VFW auxiliary. She was one of the Great Ones! We will miss her for sure.

My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to your family as you lost your mother much too early. May God comfort you in support of family and friends, and all your wonderful memories.

My deepest condolences to all the family. The news of your mom’s passing came as a shock to me. I am one of the sisters of the Auxiliary, but the last few months I have not been able to share in any of the countless activities your mom was involved in at any given time. Mostly I remember all that she did for the kids of the members of the VFW and the community with organizing the Easter Egg Hunts, the Halloween and Christmas parties and so much more. Her shoes won’t be able to be filled for a long time. She was a pillar of the Auxiliary and will be so dearly missed.
