Rick loved life! He loved drawing, music (especially Elvis), all animals and people almost as much as the food network. We will miss his huge hugs, smile and sense of humor!

Richard was one of a kind.
He was special because of his ability to make us smile and laugh…. He loved watching the ‘American Pickers’ show.
He was loved, he was a big brother to me and I’ll miss him……
Rest In Peace and may we meet again in heaven one day.

“Uncle” Ricky was so sweet and always so kind to all of us “kids”; even those of us not directly related to him. I always loved his crooked smile and awesome laugh! He is definitely part of some of my most fun memories as a kid.

So very sorry to hear about your loss. Even thou life didn’t give Rick a lot to be happy about, he was always the happiest in world! I remember crossing paths with him at the Minneapolis airport one time, he was cleaning and couldn’t stop to talk because he was working! He made the of what life gave him. That’s something we should all remember when we remember Rick.

I’ve known Rick for over 40 years…he lived in Blaine and we were at Noble Nursery. He would go to KFC and get us Cokes. He helped Cat Lopez sell watermelons on the frontage road of Hwy 65. He always wanted to help our customers. So many memories over the years. He was loved and will be missed.

Rick was a wonderful family and tree farm friend who shared many phone calls and Thanksgivings with us. We loved his artwork and have a framed “love van” original. He brought us all so much joy. My life was better because I knew Rick and he will be missed!

I worked with Richard in therapy at Rise and have many memories. He was fun loving and determined. We would say “don’t forget your walker” “use both hands”, Richard would say “I know”( as he was walking unassisted). He was tough and had the hardest head I know, even with all his falls. Richard would ask “don’t you have any Elvis music?”. He talked so fondly of his family. He often invited me over for “a barbecue”. I will miss you precious soul. See you on the other side!

Hi my name is Peanut, im Richard’s special feline friend…. I’d always nibble on him and give him love….he would pet me and tell me he loved me….. I’d always lay on his bed waiting for him to come home when he left the house. Then we would start all over with the loves and pets. I will miss my human best friend.
