Her volunteer activities and interests included being a leader in the Christian Mothers, being a devoted volunteer and Sacristan at her church, crafting birthday posters for nursing home residents in Cambridge, writing ancestry heritage books, calligraphy, and graphoanalysis.

One of Laura’s favorite prayers, and one she lived by, was:
“Jesus, I trust in You, take care of everything.”

I knew Laura through my sister-in-law law, Marge. I remember her as being one of the most caring and kind people. I admired what a good mother she seemed to be despite having to be a single parent after she lost her dear husband. I also remember that she used her calligraphy talents to help create my wedding program too.
Gods blessings to all of you. Losing your mother/grandmother surely makes a hole but cherish the wonderful memories.

Laura was an amazing lady! Even though she was at St. Benedict’s for a short time, we certainly saw how special she was and that she had many gifts. We are thinking of all of her family at this difficult time. Thank you for sharing her with us and for allowing us to care for her.

I have known Laura since 1st grade. She always put others before herself. Along with Pat Nielsen, we made quite a trio. She has left us way too soon. Prayers for her family.
