Jerry Sheldon Wold went to his heavenly home on November 4, 2021.
Jerry was born on April 16, 1933, to Rudolph Wold and Eva Allram in Boyceville, Wisconsin. He attended school in Boyceville and was baptized & confirmed at Hay River Lutheran Church. Joined the U.S. Air Force in April 1951 as a mechanic; served two years in England with an Honorable Discharge in December 1954.
On June 23, 1956, he married Myra Smith at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, Wisconsin. The Wold family made their homes in St. Paul, New Brighton, and Isanti Minnesota. For 37 years, Jerry was a Cement Mason for Jesco Inc., and retired in 1992.
In 1964, Jerry and Myra built a cabin on Knife Lake in Mora, Minnesota, and they had so many great memories for 38 years (boating, fishing on the dock with a cane pole, horseshoes, pulling the kids water skiing, snowmobiling, and ice skating) with family and friends! Jerry and Myra also spent 15 winters in Arizona.
Jerry’s “happy place” was tinkering in his workshops (especially on the farm in Isanti); building bird houses, cradles, clocks, and many other wood projects. He LOVED to listen to old time music, dancing with Myra, traveling, playing golf, and just spending time with the family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter (Sandy Christensen), sister (Marcella Mitch), and brother-in-laws (Don Mitch and Lloyd Hume).
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Myra; sister Janice Hume; Children: son Richard Wold (Gail), daughter Suzanne Preston (Todd), son-in-law Randy Christensen, and daughter Sonja Nelson (Jon); Grandchildren/Step-Grandchildren: Neil (Angie), Jennissa (Ryan), Jarred (Samantha), Kendal (Kirk), Jenna (Saul), Nick (Cori), Katie (Josh), Jeremy (Nik), Sara (Greg), Kathryn (Jason), Matthew and Mitchell; Great Grandchildren: Clara, Hazel, Aliciana, Ciera, Brodie, Lilly, Mavric, Brody, Junior, Siden, Saenna, and Dylan; along with many nieces and nephews.
May God watch over all of you.
