Thank you for sharing with us so we may all know him. I admire the academic, sports, religion, music balance he had and can imagine the joy of it all. May the additional stories you tell keep your memories alive and bring comfort to you at this time and the days ahead. My heart and prayers to all.

I was so shocked to see Dave’s obit in the paper. I had just received an email from him a couple weeks previously, telling me about his family and his dialysis. He and I met at Trout Lake Camp in high school and have kept in touch throughout our lives, sharing about our families and activities over the years.
It is so sad to know he is gone and I’m sure his family and many friends are grieving. I don’t know the circumstances of his death, but hope he wasn’t in pain when he passed into heaven.
Even though I don’t know Connie or his family, I want to say how sorry I am that they have lost their husband, dad, and granddad.

My condolences to the Hendrickson family. I worked at Honeywell with Dave for 20 years . Together, we managed to software engineering department at Honeywell’s military avionics division. I will always remember Dave for his big heart, common sense and robust sense of humor. Dave was also a wonderful storyteller! He often made me laugh hard. After we’d both retired, we reconnected on Facebook. I will miss my wonderful wise and funny friend dearly.
Sincerely,
John Cochran

Connie & family-I was so sorry to read of Dave’s passing. I have not had contact with him for many years but do have good memories of playing with him and Karen, Lorna, John when they lived at the Swanson homestead. I am a 2nd cousin to them. My mom was Alice Swanson. I keep in touch with Elaine. I was a “city kid” but loved going up to the farm and staying at Lundbergs farm and visiting my country relatives. I remember attending “reunions” but then we all go in different directions and lose touch. My family stopped in Babbitt to see all of my cousins but Ethyl and Willard were out picking blueberries so never did get to visit. To all of you I extend my deepest sympathy and will remember Dave as I knew him. My love and prayers go to all of you. Marlys

Dave truly was a wonderful friend and fellow graduate from Babbitt HS in 1962. We played a lot of tennis and drank A&W root beers afterward in Babbitt. Soon we both went off to college, but stayed in touch. In 1966 I went into the US Army. While stationed in Germany, Dave sent me a picture and address of his sister-in-law in 1968. He suggested that I write a letter to her. I did! AND it made all the difference in the world. We fell in love and have been happily married 53 years! How I praise and thank the Lord God for my friend, Dave.
