Sara was a wonderful friend and saw her for the last time, the last race at Wild Mountain Ski Challenge this spring. She did not ski, but came to watch and visit.I retired from TGIF team when COVID hit. But we were in touch she too was a TGIF member. She gave me a huge hug, we talked during the Ski Challenge celebration had some beers. She name me several years ago she called me Bode, after I bought off eBay one of his race suit. It stuck! She always wanted to go faster and she was and did! I never had a chance to even be close to her times. She will be greatly missed. She was my Bud! Now I believe she will be ski racing everyday and visiting with our other team members, Jack and Mary Parcheta.
I was privileged to know and ski with Sara for twenty plus years. We became good friends and competitors while practicing and skiing on two ski teams. Sara was a person we all thought the world of. Her competitive spirt and skiing ability provided excitement for all of us. I like many others were fortunate to have known Sara Bauer.
I was so saddened to here of Sara’s passing. I love skiing with her on Wednesday’s at Buck Hill. She was so fast, so fun and so pretty. She will be so missed❤️
