Janet Rae Sandeen, age 51, of Cambridge passed away August 26, 2022 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31st at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Rice Lake Cemetery in Braham. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
Janet Rae Sandeen was born January 28, 1971 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Lyle and Janice (Linnemeyer) Sandeen. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1989 and continued her education at Pine Tech. Janet worked at the Creamery, Liberty Mutual and then at Cambridge Medical Center in medical records for more than 20 years. She enjoyed her work and the friendships she made with her coworkers. She also was a caregiver and companion of her mom for many years. Janet enjoyed the finer things in life including trips to the casino with her sisters and mom, being outdoors, fishing, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the flowers of summer, as well as caring for her great nieces and nephews, her cat Spunky, and rocking out to the rock and roll classics especially AC/DC.
Janet is survived by her mother, Janice Sandeen; sisters, Julie (Doug) Darling, and Jean Sandeen; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Mitch) Husom, David (Karissa) Darling, Jeni (Jeremy) Mellgren, Fred Lundstrom, and Bri Lundstrom; great-nieces and great-nephews, Trey, Ella, Remi, Nora, Ruby, Averi, Jasper, Elsie and Evy; and by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle; and great-niece, Ellie.
I knew Janet from CMC. Always enjoyed running into her in the medical center, she was always positive and had a bright smile.

I knew Janet from the Cambridge Medical Center. We worked the chart room together for 10 years. She was a caring person and good friend. My special memory of us is she took me to Harris and helped me pick out my first tattoo!! And made sure I didn’t back down!! I will miss you Janet and RIP!! Play big in heaven at the Casino.

I worked with Janet for 20 years. We shared up and downs through those years but when she laughed, her whole face was one big smile! May you Rest In Peace. Until we meet again—-

Janet was a present. She was always at CMC it was not a day she was not greeting employees or patients in the hall. All winners at the casino in heaven Janet. Sorry all for your loss.
