Life Is But A Stopping Place
Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be,
a resting place along the road to sweet eternity,
we all have different journeys, different paths along the way,
we all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay,
our destination is a place far greater than we know,
for some the journey is quick, for some the journey’s slow,
and when the journey finally ends we’ll claim a great reward,
and find an everlasting peace together with the lord.

I was truly saddened to see that Tim had died. I was a friend and co-worker of Tim and will miss his humor and his quick wit.
Tim was one of my most favorite people at Nvent and we shared many laughs as we reminisced on old TV shows, commercials and songs from the 70’s and 80’s. Tim used to talk about needing crepe erase which I thought was pretty funny until he told me that I could use some also!
I tried to keep in touch with Tim after he left work due to illness and was able to take him home from the hospital after his surgery. We talked at least once a week shortly after his surgery, but I am about as much of a fan of talking on the telephone as Tim was about technology in general. Eventually calls became less frequent and for that I am truly sorry.
I had the opportunity to talk to Tim about salvation in Christ and told him that he needed a Savior. I don’t know what effect that had on him and no one knows what happens in the last moments of life, but hopefully he turned to Christ like the thief on the cross and was welcomed into paradise with Jesus.
I will miss Tim and I hope that God will comfort his family.
