LaVerne Mary (Johnson) Sibley passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023 at the age of 87 surrounded by loved ones. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 12th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; brother, Donald Johnson; and grandson, Dan Dzieweczynski. She is survived by her children: Mark (DeeAnn) Sibley, Laurie (Michael) Boniarczyk, David (Rebecca) Sibley, Susan (Mark) Dzieweczynski, and Matthew (Diane) Sibley; and 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
LaVerne was born on October 12th, 1935 in Bessemer, MI to Walter and Mabel Johnson. She grew up in Hurley, WI and attended nursing school at the College of Saint Scholastica. She practiced nursing in various capacities for the majority of her adult life. While she was attending nursing school, she met the love of her life, Harry. They were married in 1956 and had five children. LaVerne loved to bake, cross stitch, knit, and keep the candy dish full for little visitors.
She will be forever missed by the many loved ones, friends, and extended family members who were blessed to know and be loved by her.
Sibley family, I am so sorry for your loss. Its so difficult to have to say the goodbyes for now. May the treasured memories she left with you remain strong in your minds as time slowly heals your hearts.
