Marion N. Schulz (Sander), age 84, of Isanti passed away November 24, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at St. Francis United Methodist Church, 3914 229th Ave NW, St Francis, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marion graduated from Lakefield High school in 1956 and continued her education at Mankato State Teachers College, university of La Verne, and many additional courses at different colleges. She taught at St. Francis High Scool for 31 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lyle J. Schulz Sr., parents Hugo and Norma Sander, step father William Wilcox, sister Karman Mohlencamp, and her life partner Rudolph Jensen.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth Schulz (Greg) Lyle J. Schulz Jr. (Nancy),sisters Karla Miller, Jeanenne Wilcox, and many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was a great wonderful woman

When I met Marion again at the St. Francis Methodist Church, years after graduation in 1964, … I called her Mrs. Schulz… and she said… “Oh.. Call me Marion.’ My former algebra teacher was telling me to use her first name… and it seemed right. She was only 8 years older than we were.. She always wanted to hear about our class, what we were doing, as she shared her family highlights. She came to several of our class reunions, and was always welcomed by everyone… she was so happy to be with her former students… Ours was one of her early teaching positions. The family and the community have lost a sincerely wonderful person.
Mrs Schultz was always kind to me. She took time to explain things to me.
She was a great Teacher.
I taught Jr Hi Math across the hall from Marion from 66 – 69. We had many delightful conversations. She was a great teacher and lady. We had a special bond as we were born on the exact same day! My condolences to you, her family.
