Robert “Cookie” Taylor, 74 year old resident of Stanchfield, MN passed away June 7, 2023 at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Robert was born on June 27, 1948 in Minneapolis to Harry and Julia Taylor. He graduated from Columbia Heights High School with the class of 1967. Robert served in the US Army from May 1968 to March 1970, with active duty service in the Vietnam War. On October 9, 1970 he was united in marriage to Nancy Martin at First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights. Robert worked at Qwest Communications for over 30 years. He enjoyed auto body work in his garage and was a member of several car clubs. Cookie was loved by many and he will be missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Taylor of Stanchfield, MN; children, John (Erica) Taylor of Anoka, MN, Jill (Alex) Atkinson of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Gavin, Cable, Jamie, Gabe; siblings, Mike (Jo) Taylor, Shelly (Russ Schuler) Taylor, Cathy Hudy, Julia (Kerry) Shelson; cousins; nieces & nephews; great-nieces & great-nephews; and by many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Barbara Taylor; aunts & uncles.
I’m sorry to hear of Bob’s passing 😔. May you cherish the memories of him! Cookie always had a smile on his face and my boys always liked to stop in the shop and visit with him ❤ they always enjoyed the ice cream treats to. Love you Nancy Hugs

we will all miss you but will keep your fun memories with us for as long as we’re here. you can be proud of the person you became many will remember you fondly. just thinking back to our time on this earth together makes me smile. i can see gary marlow and you greeting each other in heaven. “and a good time will be had by all. keep out of trouble with your buddy we don’t want to hear you 2 guys were the first to have to go to heaven’s time out. thanks for naming me as one of your high school friends. i will miss both you and gary . 2 really great guys. love and hugs to nancy and your family.
Got to spend some time with Cookie at our 50 year reuniom. I hopped that I could get together with him at a latter date to discuss world views. . Sadly that didn’t work out.
