Robert “Cookie” Taylor, 74 year old resident of Stanchfield, MN passed away June 7, 2023 at his home. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Robert was born on June 27, 1948 in Minneapolis to Harry and Julia Taylor. He graduated from Columbia Heights High School with the class of 1967. Robert served in the US Army from May 1968 to March 1970, with active duty service in the Vietnam War. On October 9, 1970 he was united in marriage to Nancy Martin at First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights. Robert worked at Qwest Communications for over 30 years. He enjoyed auto body work in his garage and was a member of several car clubs. Cookie was loved by many and he will be missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Taylor of Stanchfield, MN; children, John (Erica) Taylor of Anoka, MN, Jill (Alex) Atkinson of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Gavin, Cable, Jamie, Gabe; siblings, Mike (Jo) Taylor, Shelly (Russ Schuler) Taylor, Cathy Hudy, Julia (Kerry) Shelson; cousins; nieces & nephews; great-nieces & great-nephews; and by many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Barbara Taylor; aunts & uncles.

Got to spend some time with Cookie at our 50 year reuniom. I hopped that I could get together with him at a latter date to discuss world views. . Sadly that didn’t work out.
