John Wayne “Duke” Henrikson, age 65, of East Bethel died July 4, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 7th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.
John was born on September 5, 1957 in Cambridge, MN to Dean and Mary Henrikson. He graduated from St. Francis High School with the class of 1975. John worked at Sylvester’s Lumberyard and as a carpenter. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and shooting trap. He was an avid collector of John Wayne memorabilia.
John is survived by his mother, Mary Henrikson of East Bethel, MN; siblings, Kenny (Nancy) Henrikson of East Bethel, MN, Peggy Proue of McGregor, MN, Douglas Henrikson of Isanti, MN, Kermit Henrikson of Isanti, MN; 6 nieces & nephews; and 5 great-nieces & great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dean Henrikson; brother, August “Gus” Henrikson; nephew, Russell Proue; and brother-in-law, David Proue.

Donna and I are deeply saddened with the news of Duke’s passing. We were friend for many years and shared more than a few motorcycle rides and good times. Duke will always be remembered for his laughter and good humor. RIP pal.
