Janice Lofboom, age 79 of Harris, Minnesota died September 22, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 30th at Fish Lake Lutheran Church, 43353 Cedarcrest Trail Harris, MN 55032. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery followed by a luncheon at the church.
Janice Olive Lofboom was born on May 7, 1944, in Stacy, Minnesota to Elof and Olive Lofboom. She attended Stark School and graduated from North Branch High School in 1962. She then graduated from St. Cloud State University and earned her master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. Janice was a teacher for two years in Anaheim, California and in the Anoka Hennepin School District for 30 years. On December 23, 1982, she married Jim Saari in Stark, Minnesota. Jan loved family activities and lived for her kids and grandkids. She loved going to their athletic events. She also enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, reading, and yard work. She loved her Fish Lake community.
Jan died on September 22, 2023 at age 79. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elof and Olive; grandson, Kaleb; brother, Dennis; and nephew, Terry Lofboom.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Saari; sons, Eric (Minnie) and Jason (Jessie); stepchildren, Suzie Snow (Mike) and Paul Saari; grandchildren, Kelci Zengerle (Jake), Kaylee Pilz (Nick), Haley and Jake Snow; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Raelyn, Easton, Rhett Zengerle and Kepler, Madden, and baby Pilz; siblings, Nola, Tom (Anne), Rick (Deb) Lofboom; and many nieces and nephews.
