Marjorie Joyce Curtis was born in Minneapolis April 25th, 1933 to Arthur Throolin and Myrtle (Oslin) Throolin. She graduated from Mound High School and went on to own/manage Circle Pizza. There she met and married William Curtis and moved to a farm in Isanti in 1975. She had 5 children: Sandra Lee, Sharon Lynn, Steven Jon, Douglas William and David Arthur. She loved growing food and did so up until her death. Favorite thing to grow was tomatoes (white and yellow ones have less acid and are easier on the stomach). Summer was a time for yummy grilled tomato and cheese sandwiches. She also grew carrots, sweet peppers, peas and green beans. Her Honeycrisp and State Fair apple trees provided more than enough for apple pies and applesauce. The other constant in her life was cats – she loved them.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I have many fond memories of Marge from when I was a young child. She always had a smile and taught me what a davenport was. I would go with my Mom, Paulette, Selling vegetables at the now Plants and Things store and have some laughs for The Curtis Farm. 🩵
