Al,
I never thought my last message to you would be this. You were a great man, everyone knows this. I am so sorry we drifted apart during our lifetime, I loved you so much. You were my big brother, my first ever best friend, and someone I looked up to my entire life. You left this life way too early, just like Mom. I will forever hold you in my heart and will do whatever I can to help all of your loved ones get through this extremely hard time.
I will miss you forever dear brother.
Love John

I really don’t know the right words to put. I’ve known Al since he first started Allegis, back when it was Austin. About 35 years ago. I was only 9 years old then. I can still remember him taping me up in a box and stacking me up in the shelves, not to mention all the other pranks and jokes we were apart of. He was the first person in my life that talked to we as an adult and I have always considered him my first grownup friend. Like an older brother or uncle he has been apart of my life as I’ve grown and gotten older. Al really was family. Like making a special trip just to go visit him when he was working in Nevada, or attending his beautiful wedding. But one thing I will miss and have already missed. Is our text msgs during different sports games. During football season we would easily send a couple dozen texts back and forth every weekend. For fantasy we would all was cheer for the other person (unless we played each other). He was always my go to person for advice and knowledge.
When it come to judging a person, I feel the best measurement is character. Al truly was the standard. His honesty and integrity were unmatched. He was always willing to listen and help others. I have always valued his opinion, no matter the situation. Al had a terrific sense of humor, only outmatched by his strong responsibility. His loss will touch so many. Al was truly liked by everyone who knew him. I’ve had the lucky privilege of knowing him for over three decades. His quick and sudden passing will honestly leave a hole in all the lives he touched. All my thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
I will truly miss you Al, we are all better people for knowing you.
Joe

Uncle Al,
Some of my favorite memories with you are fishing in the river and playing bags at the land. I will miss you.
