Aloysius Feist, age 101, of Cambridge died May 2, 2024 at Rusheba Station Assisted Living in Rush City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 7th at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
Aloysius “Al” Feist was born June 18, 1922 in Zeeland, North Dakota to Anton and Eva Feist.
He grew up and attended school in the Zeeland area. On May 30, 1944 he married Philippine
Knoll at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hague, North Dakota. Al farmed until moving to St.
Paul where Al worked in maintenance for the City of St. Paul. They retired and summered in
Browerville, Minnesota and in about 2016 in Cambridge, Minnesota. They wintered in Ft.
Myers, Florida for 25 years. They were members of Christ the King Catholic Church. Al
enjoyed tinkering and fixing things.
Al passed away May 2, 2024 at Rusheba Station Assisted Living in Rush City at the age of 101
years, 10 months and 14 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife,
Philippine, and all of his siblings.
He is survived by his son, Gerald (Robin) Feist; daughter, Darlene Ward; 7 grandchildren, 6
great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and by many other relatives and friends.

Al was kind, humble and always made you feel welcomed. My whole family loved him and enjoyed hearing his stories of his days in North Dakota and Florida. We were honored to have known him and will miss him.
