Marie was born April 30, 1960, in Centerville, Iowa to Emma (Sackfield) Sager and Arthur Sager. She was raised in Isanti and attended Cambridge High school. In addition, she attended Anoka Ramsey Community College where she was actively involved in Phi Theta Kappa and later went on to Bethel College and St. Catherine’s University with a desire to receive a degree in accounting.
Marie enjoyed taking long walks, going outdoors, swimming, spending time with her neighbors, and always professed her love for coffee. She never failed at making people smile with her fun- loving attitude. She was valued for her kindness, joyfulness, gratitude, and compassion towards others.
Her true passion, however, was her family. Her unconditional love and support were evident in every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. This was shown through her attending numerous sporting events, snow tubing at Wild Mountain, visiting the library, park playdates, regular sleepovers, and her desire to playfully display her love and affection by singing.
Her nurturing nature, kind heart, and charismatic personality will forever be remembered by her family and friends. The family will carry her love and wisdom with them throughout their lives, knowing they were truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Marie will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jenny (Dusty) Lindner, Jason Findell (Shannen Sweeney), Michelle Stahnke, Hannah Stahnke, Bruce Stahnke, and Erin (Jason) Mrozek; grandchildren, Parker and Preston Lindner, Brielle and Ethan Findell, and Baylee and Noah Mrozek; siblings, Ron (Julie) Sager, Nancy (Bill) Spooner, and Carolyn (Ernie) O’Neill; and by many other relatives and friends. She will be eagerly welcomed by her loving mother and best friend, Emma, and so many more up in Heaven.

You can see Marie’s wonderful spirit through that pretty photo. She was indeed a very special lady. The love of her family shows throughout the obituary.
Marie and I met over 50 years ago. We were able to stay in touch even during the years she lived in Ogilvie. I was so happy when she and Bruce moved back to Isanti, so we could be close again. Marie asked me to be godmother for Bruce, which I was happy to do.
There is one thing I’d like to add. Marie had a quiet, but very strong faith in God. We would talk about many things, including faith, during our walks. Marie was looking forward to being with Jesus and her mom again when she went Home to Jesus. Marie brought even her grandchildren to Sunday School.
You will be missed so much, dear, sweet Marie! See you later.

I will miss spending holidays and other family events with Marie. I remember seeing her as an infant in Centerville and watched her grow into a wonderful person. She was so kind and I will always feel a debt of gratitude for all the letters she sent my mother while Mom was in the nursing home.. Although Marie wasn’t able to visit her as often as she would have liked, my Mom really enjoyed reading those letters.
