Annette Marie Engels, age 56, of Cambridge died July 5, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, July 12th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to the Cancer Society.
Annette Marie Engels was born July 11, 1967 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Dennis and Leila (Jones) Yaggy. She grew up in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1985. On April 26, 1986 she married Scott Engels at Cambridge United Methodist Church. They made their home in Cambridge where they raised their three boys. Annette worked at Cub Foods where she had many responsibilities and where she made many great friendships. This group became known as “The Squad”. Annette loved the Minnesota Vikings, Prince, and especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed relaxing in the sun in her backyard and camping.
Annette passed away July 5, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids at the age of 56 years, 11 months and 24 days. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bernard (Mabel) Yaggy, Robert (Dorothy) Jones; in-laws, Frank (Faith) Engels; sister-in-law, Jodi Engels.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Scott; three sons, Joshua (Brianna), Jonathon (Breanna), and Nathanial (Paula); parents, Dennis Sr. and Leila; brothers, Dennis Jr. (Michelle) and Charles (Laura); sister-in-law, Michelle Engels; brothers-in-law, Russell and Kevin Engels; grandchildren, Trenton, Sydney, June, Jaida and Journee; nieces, nephews, and by many other relatives and friends.

Annette had a beautiful smile and u could kinda see a sparkle in her eyes when she smiled and she had a cute giggle ! Les and I had some good and fun times visiting with her and Scott when our kids were young ! I would always tell him I wish we could have spent more time together with those two! I wish we could of been there at this difficult time but we’re sending our deepest sympathy and love and prayers to the family

I’m so sad to see this! I can’t believe she was in remission when I worked with her, but she didn’t seem sick at all. I wish Dawn would have told me this when I seen her. Hugs to her family and gods blessings.
