Ron was a gentle giant. He was soft spoken and made you feel comfortable before you even knew him. You will be missed, but what a reunion it must have been when you arrived “home”. Hugs to his family and all who knew him. He was a great man🫂🫂🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sad to hear that Ron has passed away. I’m sure he had a great welcome home. I remember how convenient it was to have him repair or polish my shoes. I enjoyed renewing our friendship at exercise class….such a fun time. May God’s peace and strength be with you.

On behalf of the Members and friends of the Sons of Norway Rumelva Lodge, you will be deeply missed. Ron dedicated himself to helping with running the Lodge and helped other members when in need. Ron was our “Member at Large” and was always there to help out. His years of service to the public made the world a better place.

I left a previous message which does not appear here so this may be a duplicate — not sure. I first met Ron and Rachel in 2012 when I vacationed with their son Doug and his family at Breezy Point in Minnesota. I took to Ron and Rachel them immediately — warm, caring and open friends. Rachel and I became “GrandGams.” We kept in touch thereafter. I’ve not been able to travel much in the last few years so I have not seen them in awhile. But heaven known, that Ron will always be in my memories as a gentle and caring man. Rachel gets a great big hug from me and will also always be in my heart and memories. I feel sadness and loss and will have to abide by my heart memories. God Bless!

Ron was a friend and always had time to say hi when I would see him at the post office. My Dad use to like going to his shoe store to get his boots fixed. I drove bus with him and I will always remember his smile.
