So sorry to hear about Marlene’s passing. I always enjoyed talking to her at Elim Baptist and at Ruby’s Pantry. She was such a kind and thoughtful lady. May God bless her family and give them peace knowing she is in the arms of Jesus!

It with such a heavy heart and sadness that Marlene has passed away. After dad’s death in January this is hard to hear and I know you all are hurting and missing Marlene so much. What an amazing woman of strength, faith, giving, compassion, and love. She was always thinking of others and checking on mom and dad over the years. Although the distance was great, Marlene always made the effort to visit when she could. I loved her generally positive attitude about life and that she didn’t ever seem too down about anything. To all my cousins, her sons, Phil, Lance, Brad, Tim, Clay, Jesse, and Ethan, I pray that you have the comfort of her love and the love of Christ during this time and the days to come. It’s hard and will be for a while, but we know that she is in a better place now. I’m going to miss my aunt but not like y’all will. God bless you and your families who are hurting right now. Love to you all!!
