Phyllis Kulenkamp of Isanti, born March 30, 1940, passed away peacefully at home in her favorite chair on November 9, 2024. She is now dancing in heaven with Jesus around the 1957 Chev’ she always talked about. A private family graveside will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Lex Specialty Clinic.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Mike; children Ann, Stacy, Shaundra (Kevin), and Michael (Megan); 16 grandkids, and 18 great grandkids. Her greatest joys in life all involved spending time with her family. Phyllis was well known for her life of service. She volunteered with Shalom Shop, was continually busy with Oxlip EV Free Church serving committees, and never said no when her kids or grandkids asked her for anything.
Phyllis leaves a legacy of love. Her family and friends will always remember how proud she was of them and how well she loved everyone in her path.

Phyllis was such a good friend! We worked together on VBS, Alpha, Bible Study, and laughed a lot in the church kitchen while washing dishes. She was one of the kindest, quietly-serving people I know. Her passing leaves a big hole in our lives, but I’m excited that she is now experiencing what we here still long to know. May God lovingly comfort her family!

It’s hard to choose just one memory, but grandma was always so supportive and encouraging of all my art, writing, and music.
In recent years, she used to joke that as she got older, she could hide her own Easter eggs. I hope she’s finally found them all in heaven.
Love you Grams!

I’m imagining what it must have been like to doze off in her favorite chair and wake up in the arms of Jesus! Phyllis, one of the most precious and encouraging women I’ve had the privilege of knowing. She is a woman that inspired us all to be better lovers of one another and the Lord. Her love for Jesus, His Word, her family and friends was evident in all she did. She will be sincerely and profoundly missed!

It always was such a joy to visit with Phyllis at church and seeing her talk to as many people as she could during fellowship hour. Her kindness, encouragement, and nonjudgmental spirit inspired many. I’ll especially remember the times she took me cross-country skiing on the trails she made on their property, serving me hot cocoa and snacks, beating me at table games, and laughing as Mike teased us from the living room. Her stamina was amazing, and I could barely keep up with her on the trails. I’ll miss her dearly but comforted knowing that she lives in heaven with Jesus.

So very sorry for your loss Mike and family. Phyllis was one of my favorite people on this earth, and we had the pleasure of being prayer partners together for over 15 years. Selfless, humble, kind, caring, fun, adventurous, and giving are just a few of things she was. I have no doubt she heard ” Well done, good and faithful servant” when she met Jesus in person the other day. Until we meet again, Love you forever “Mommie”.
