Ruth Ann Ford, age 84, of Cambridge died November 12, 2024 at home. A private family graveside service will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Ruth Ann Ford was born February 25, 1940 in Bradford Township, Minnesota to George and Myrtle (Myers) Yerigan. She attended Dowling Country School in Springvale Township and then Cambridge High School, graduating in 1958. On March 4, 1961 she married Robert “Bob” Ford in Princeton, MN. Bob served in the military, and they lived and raised their four sons in many places including Germany, Italy, Holland, Alaska, Colorado, Virginia, Texas and Missouri. After their retirement in 1987 they moved back to Cambridge. Ruth worked at several banks and held various positions and then in the accounting office for a few years at Motek in Cambridge. She loved traveling in their motorhome, keeping an immaculate yard, always had flowers, loved watching the hummingbirds, reading, going on walks, teasing her sons and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian (Trisha) Ford; Robert (Jackie) Ford; Brett (Dianne) Ford; Kevin (Georgie) Ford; grandchildren, Josh Ford (Andrea), Tyler Ford, Whitney Ford (Branden Martinelli), Alisha (Austin) Littlejohn, Ella Ford, Cian Ford and Liam Ford; great-granddaughter, Lainee Littlejohn; siblings, Dean (Mary Lou) Yerigan, Ray (Carol) Yerigan, and Kathleen Yerigan; sister-in-law, Gloria Yerigan; and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; siblings, Byron Yerigan, Jane Hischer and Donna Reineccius; sister-in-law, Charlotte Yerigan; and brother-in-law, Arnie Hischer.
