
Roger E. Patterson, age 76, of Stacy died December 27, 2024 at Fairview Lakes Hospital in Wyoming. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 PM, with a sharing time at 6:30 PM, Friday, January 10th at Strike Life Tributes in Cambridge.
Roger Eugene Patterson was born May 25, 1948 in Isanti Township, Minnesota to Cecil and Bernice (Chapman) Patterson. Roger grew up on his family farm established in 1946, where he attended elementary school in a one room school house, in Oxford Township then he moved on to Cambridge High School.
In his early years, he worked as a laborer in the construction trade located in the cities. During that time, Roger met his wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Bloms Patterson. They got married on April 19, 1975. Shortly after their marriage, they moved back to his family farm where they raised their two daughters, Lisa and Tara, making it their forever home. Later in life, Roger worked in maintenance at Anoka Hennepin School District, retiring from Blaine High School after 21 years and he still continued to farm.
Roger loved spending time on his John Deere tractor in the fields and at tractor pulls with his family and friends. He was proud of his grandkids, teaching them how to drive tractors & trucks, raise animals, farm and life lessons. Roger also had a passion to drive the United States with his wife, Kathy, especially in the winter season their travel adventures would begin. One of his favorite places was Central Park in New York City and his trips to Yellowstone with the grandkids. Roger also took pride in keeping his yard and pond immaculate.
Roger passed away December 27, 2024 at Fairview Lakes Hospital in Wyoming at the age of 76 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bernice Patterson; brother, Wayne Patterson, Sr., and parents-in-law, Olga (Horace) (Bloms) Mae.
Roger will be forever be remembered by his wife, Kathy of 50 years; daughters, Lisa Patterson, and Tara (Glen) Pechuman, grandchildren, Kyle, Karter and Konner; Roger’s special dogs, Kabela, Khloe and Beau; The 263 Family; sister, Julian (Orland) Earl; 2 nephews, 3 nieces and by many other relatives and friends.
I’m so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. He was my dad’s cousin. He will be missed so much!
Kathy, I’m so sorry to hear about Roger. It was so nice to see both of you at Duane’s celebration of life. I cannot make it to the funeral because I have Doctors appt. In Duluth. Hugs to you . I will stop by and see you when I’m down that way. Love Deb
