
Norman D. Strike, 79 year old resident of Isanti, MN passed away January 4, 2025 at his residence, with his wife of 58 years by his side. Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, January 10, 2025 at New Hope Community Church in Cambridge, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Strike Cemetery.
Norman was born on March 21, 1945 in Cambridge to George and Bernice Strike. In high school he was active in wresting and 4-H. He graduated from Cambridge High School with the class of 1963. Norman was united in marriage to Karen Andersen on March 19, 1966 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti. The couple raised pigs and in 1981 they bought his parent’s dairy farm. Norman retired from farming in 2004 and went to work for Rosenbauer in Wyoming, MN for over 13 years. He was an outdoors man who enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, and canoe racing. His happy place was the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Norman will be remembered as a man who could fix anything, reliable, and as a man of his word.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Karen Strike; children, Nancy (Rex) Lamson, Duane Strike, Shanna (Robert) Krantz; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Karen D.) Strike, and David (Debbie) Strike.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wendell (Linda) Strike.
So sorry to hear about Norman, I used to work with George and Norman on the dairy farm. I enjoyed working with him ,he Would show me how to do lots of things. Remember the one time Norman squirted milk on me . He will be missed
Norman was a great relative and was always fun to be around. I will truly miss him.
My husband and I worked with Norm for many years. We had fun banter at work and I really missed seeing him everyday when he retired. May you rest in peace Norm.
