Christina Lee Tinjum (Scott)
January 14, 1967~August 22, 2025
Christina graduated from Grand Rapids High School in the class of 1985, and went on to continue her education at Itasca Community College. She had four daughters whom she loved dearly; Larissa, Shayna, Kayla, and Miranda. She married the love of her life; Dale Tinjum, on June 27th, 2025 after 16 years together.
She was hard-working and held a variety of jobs throughout her lifetime. Most recently, she was proudly employed with Dairy Farmers of America for the past 7 years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, spending time on the water, being with family and friends, and spoiling the ones she loved, including her fur babies, Rascal and Leo. She was the most thoughtful gifter. She was always up for a new adventure, could spark a conversation with anyone, and had the most contagious smile and laugh. She was one-of-a-kind and will be remembered for her zest for life, thoughtfulness, kind heart, and strong will. To know her was to love her; she had a heart of gold.
Christina was preceded in death by her mother; Danielle Carlson, step-mother; Linda Wilson, aunt; Rose Wilson, mother-in-law; Janice Tinjum, and brother; Richard (Dickie) Mayo.
Christina is survived by her husband; Dale Tinjum, daughters; Larissa (Brian) True, Shayna Glaser, Kayla (Garrett) Schuebel, and Miranda Mayo, father; Burton Luke Wilson, father-in-law; Maynard Tinjum, grandchildren; Gavin, Kailey, Parker, Emmitt, Olivia, Delilah, and Delaney, siblings; Thomas (Tiffany), Todd (Kahla), Missy, Junior (Bre), and Josh Sr. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
I am deeply sorry for the loss of Christina. She was a very special person and will be missed here at the DFA plant.
Christina and I were friends in school and I guess we lost track of each other after school. She was always such a nice person and fun to be around. I am so sorry for your loss.
