Barbara Jean Hoehn, age 77, of Isanti Minnesota passed away on November 7, 2025 following a 3-year courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded with love and her family. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15th at Strike Life Tributes in Isanti. A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.
Barb was born on September 30th, 1948 to Peter & Mildred DeGroot in St. Peter Minnesota. She attended St. Peter High School and following graduation, married Bruce Hoehn. Barbara and Bruce welcomed four children into the world together, Shelia, Christine, David and Brandy.
They moved to Isanti in 1976 and built their dream home. She loved her home and took great pride in the home where they raised their children. Tons of laughter, many memories and holidays spent together. Barbara worked in manufacturing and was a supervisor at Life Fitness in Ramsey Minnesota for over 25 years where she made many friends. She retired at the age of 70 and kept busy with a senior group, traveling, church friends, enjoying her children, grandchildren, great grandchild, hosting holiday gatherings and visiting the casino. She was always up for playing some pull tabs, bingo or a meat raffle! She loved her Minnesota Vikings and cheered for them every year with hopes of seeing a Superbowl.
Barb was a spunky, independent determined soul that never gave up on the battle she fought with cancer. She loved her kids, grandkids & great grandson more than anything. She will be missed deeply by so many!
Barb’s family will forever be grateful for the care she received during her final journey.
She is survived by her children, Christine Johnson (John Kosnitch), David (Cecelia) Hoehn, Brandy (Jason) Skonseng; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and Tyler Skonseng; great-grandchild, Easton Johnson; sisters, Beverly Wilking, Sharon (Michael) Mace and Carrie (Donald) Stierlen; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia, her father, Peter DeGroot, her mother, Mildred and step-father, Donald Oles.
Dear Barb’s Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. I had the privilege of working with her for many years, and she was truly one of the most dedicated and passionate production supervisors I’ve ever known.
Barb cared deeply about her team and always went above and beyond to make sure both her employees and our customers were taken care of. Her commitment and positive spirit made a lasting impact on everyone around her.
She often shared wonderful stories about her family—her children and grandchildren—and it was clear how much love and pride she had for all of you. I’ll also always remember her stories about trips to the casino, told with such humor and joy. We also shared all the ups and downs during Viking season.
I am so grateful for all the years we were able to work together.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Barb will be deeply missed, but her kindness, energy, and dedication will be remembered by all of us who had the privilege to know her.
With sympathy,
Scott Darsow
