Carolyn Johnson
November 22, 1963 – November 9, 2025
Carolyn was the life of the party and could always be counted on for laughter, a little sarcasm and competitiveness. She loved spending time with her grandchildren—who affectionately called her Grandma CC—playing games, sharing stories, and making memories that will last a lifetime.
She found joy in the simple things: casting a line while fishing, playing a few rounds of cribbage, tending to her beloved plants, especially her ever-growing collection of spider plant babies. Carolyn had a knack for finding a great deal and could never resist a good thrift store treasure hunt.
One of her favorite chapters in life was her time working at Walmart, where she made countless friends and left a lasting impact with her humor, kindness, and genuine heart.
Carolyn’s strength, spirit and love will be forever remembered by her family and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her loving partner, Dan; daughter, Jody and her partner, Jason; son, Joe and his wife, Gialana; and her cherished grandchildren, Abby and Alex. She is also survived by her siblings, Curt, Douglas, Carla, and Lisa, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Carol and brother, Carl.
Our deepest condolences are with you. She is Gods loving arms.
I had the honor working with Carolyn at Walmart, she was always so kind such a beautiful person. My deepest condolences to the family.
Carolyn was such a joy to know. She was a wonderful friend and a great mentor. She has gifted me with many memories of laughter at work or when she invited me over. She had a positive outlook on life that I admire. I’m sorry to see her go. I’m sorry for your loss. She is missed.
Carolyn was a great and strong person. Never afraid to let anyone know what she thought and fight for what she felt was right. She could always make me smile. I hope her family knows and grows in her strength and memories! Her happy smiles and warm hugs will be missed!
This week, the world lost a lovely woman, a partner, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, and a co-worker. My husband and I are sending our sincerest condolences to family, partners, and other friends who are affected by her passing. We know, without a doubt, Carolyn to be a fighter for life. I can only imagine the following scenario. Our Heavenly Father approaches Carolyn and offers His loving hand for assistance. She pulls back, saying, “I’m okay. I can make it.” The Lord our Savior again lovingly reaches out and assures eternity by His side. Reluctantly, she accepts His gift. Today, we all can rest easy knowing that Carolyn Johnson is finally comfortable and feeling no more pain. God bless the family for your loving care until the end.
I met Carolyn 2 1/2 yrs ago, at Sharlene’s bday party in Missouri. We instantly became friends and I was looking forward to her becoming my bonus sister/sister in law. She became ill shortly after us meeting. We texted and messaged each other all the time! I will miss her dearly.
In reference to Amanda’s post: Your definition of Carolyn and her stubbornness, is spot on.
